If you use Google Classroom, but you haven't used the Rubrics feature yet, you are definitely MISSING OUT!!!
In this post I will be using the rubrics I sell on TpT for my AP Spanish Literature class as an example, but you can create your own rubric FOR ANYTHING YOU NEED and then reuse the same rubric as many times as you need to.
I will show you how to create a rubric from scratch directly on Google Classroom, but I will also show you how to import something you already have.

To CREATE A RUBRIC FROM SCRATCH...

The first thing you need to do is create a new assignment in Google Classroom.

On the assignment page you will see a button on the lower right side that say "+ Rubric". Once you click there a drop down menu will appear; to start creating a new rubric, click "Create rubric".

A new page will open up and you can start adding your categories and points. If you click on the "+ Add a criterion" you will create a different category.

For example: I usually have one for analysis, evidence, grammar and vocabulary. A total of four criterions (categories) and each one is up to five points. I usually type something short for the Level Title so it's easy to remember what I'm giving points for, but I write a much detailed description below, so students know exactly why I'm deducting points.

Once you are done adding all your categories and points, save your rubric. You will see it appear on the assignment where the "+ Rubric" button used to be

And you are done and ready to start grading...

When your students turn their assignments in you will see the rubric on the right hand side of your screen and this will make your grading SO MUCH EASIER!!! Just click on the points, save their score and return it to them!

TO IMPORT A RUBRIC FROM A GOOGLE SHEET

Start by creating a new assignment and clicking on the "+ Rubric" button (If you are not sure about what I mean, look at the first section for screenshots)
When the dropdown menu from "+ Rubrics" shows up, click on "Import from Sheets"

Select the spreadsheet from your Drive to import. After you have done this step, a new window will pop open and will show you what your rubric looks like. If you are pleased with it click "Save".

You will then see the rubric on the assignment page on the right side column where the "+Rubric" button used to be at.

And your rubric is ready to use! If you want to see some screenshots of what it looks like once your students have submitted work, look at the last steps in the first section "Creating a rubric from scratch"

I hoped this helped you. If you need extra help, don't hesitate to ask me!!

HAPPY GRADING!!
